The perodic table is a table that shows you what makes up things. Dmtiri Mendeleev is the guy who created the perodic table and element 101 is named after him for his hard work. The names on it are so long so they just put symbols for example H: Hydrogen,He: Helium,B: Boron and many more. When you look on the elemnt you would see a short number like on Helum its 2 that is the atomic number and the long number under the symbol is the atomic mass number. When your finding the protons, electrons, and neutrons well the protons and electrons are the same but to get neutrons you have to round the atomic mass number and subtract it from the atomic number. When your finding the valence and group number then you look at the numbers on the side. The numbers going vertical are the period names and the numbers going across are the group names. The perodic table has so much to it and the only reason why its small is becuase they had to combine some or else the table would probably take up this whole page. I love the perodic table and i can almost name all of them but im working on it.
